Locks of Love

As you can see, my hair was getting quite long, and quite unmanageable with a small child. So like most mothers, I decided to cut my hair. To make it worth while, I decided to cut enough to donate to Locks of Love. In all, I think I cut a total of 13 inches. WOW!! I am still getting used to the short hair, but I really like it so far, and think I will enjoy it this summer!!

Ava says "cut it!!"

You have to donate at least 10 inches. I brought my own tape measurer to make sure she didn't cut off too much. :)
No turning back!

Aaaahhh!! (Ava is wondering what is going on)
She would look good with a pony tail. Haha.
The new do.

Dinner after the big day!

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at the home of one of the members of our church. It was wonderful. There were about 100 people there...tons of families and kids have a great time and enjoying tons of food.
Tara and I took Gavin and Ava on a little tractor pulled "train" ride. Don't we look silly? We barely fit in there, but the babies loved it! (We were just happy the thing moved with us in there.) I just wish I took more pictures throughout the day.

Gavin already has the "choo choo" part down!
Ava trying to steal some snacks from Gavin. Isn't she getting big?

Praying Mantis??!!

Jamie found the SMALLEST Praying Mantis that I have ever seen outside our house the other day. I don't know if it is a baby or if some are just that small, but thought it was really interesting!!

QB Huntie

Hunter had a 7 on 7 football scrimage, and he got picked to be the quarterback! He is very serious about being quarterback. He bought his own gym membership so he can work out to become faster, and is very motivated to do what it takes to be A team quarterback for the 8th grade season, and set himself up for high school. His dream is the NFL. The way this kid is motivated, he has a shot!
GO BUBBA!!

Mini Bath

Ava woke up from her nap covered in "both" from a leaky diaper. So instead of messing with a big bath, I gave her a quick one in my bathroom sink. Haha. She loved it!

Dinner Date

Ava had a dinner date with Gavin. (Can you tell we just adore Gavin?) They love eachothers company, and decided to hold hands when they weren't busy eating. Too cute!!

(What Cheerio hanging off my chin??) Hehe

Ava is 7 Months and Celebrates with her FIRST Tooth!

I can't believe it, but Ava is 7 months old today! I can't say this enough, but time really does fly by! I have enjoyed playing with her every day, and watching her grow and learn. She has perfected crawling, and crawling fast! When she crawls on our hardwood floors and tile, she bear crawls which is hilarious to watch! (She is a diva..and divas prefer carpet!)
She likes to play with her toys on her knees or laying flat on her stomach kicking her feet. So cute! She pulls up to standing, and tries to walk...or holds on with one hand. The girl has no fear. She thinks she is older than she is...but I guess that's a girl for ya.
She has also had a toooth bump in her gums since 5 months, and in the past couple of days it has started slowly coming through the gums. Today it is officially ALL the way through!! You can feel it above the gums! I just can't believe my little girl is already growing up! The sad thing is it is just one. Usually they come in pairs, but not this girl. Gotta have it her own way! So, we have started on the long road of teething.
I hope to get a picture of it soon, but until then here are an assortment of my little girl. (tear)

In her big girl carseat. She loves it. Doesn't it look comfy?
She has also mastered the sippy cup, and drinking out of a straw!
Check out that do! We like to call it the wind blown Donald Trump. (Normally her little poof of hair looks like a Donald Trump comb over. )

Her best Zoolander look!

Swimming!!

This past Saturday the family went out to the Hyatt Lost Pines for a quick swim in the lazy river and dinner. (For those of you who don't know, this resort is just two miles down the street from our house. We visit there quite often!)
This was Ava's first time to go swimming! Being a diva she did not like the chilly water at first. Whinning as soon as her toe hit the water. She did have fun once she got used to it. She layed back and enjoyed floating in her floatie.

Ava is very excited to try out swimming.

In the lazy river...Ava says "Yeah for swimming!!!"

This was also her first time to crawl in grass.
She wasn't sure about it at first...and resorted to bear crawling. Hehe. But quickly got used to it when she was trying to crawl to get the camera!
Finally got it!!

Love this face!

With her boys!
Roasting marshmellows for smores after dinner. She was a great helper holding the stick.
I was looking pretty ragged at this point, but we stopped for a picture in front of this very large, very old pecan tree. They are all over the property, and make the Hyatt beautiful! We are looking forward to spending 4th of July here with many friends!!
