First Bastrop HS Football Game

Last night Ava, Hunter, Jamie and I went to the first Bastrop High School football game of the season. Bastrop is growing, but it is still very much a small town. You know how small towns are about football....EVERYONE comes out of the woodworks, and the whole town comes to support their team. It was quite an experience. It is weird to think that now we are Bastrop Bears!! They are maroon and white, which Jamie loves because he can wear his Aggie attire!! It was a lot of fun, and of course since everyone knows everyone in a small town, we saw several people we knew.

Ava watching intently at the boys playing ball.
She really loved the cheerleaders too! That's my girl!
Bailey (Hunter's little sister), Jamie, and Ava (people watching. She had so much fun just looking at all the crazy people!)
Hunter and his friend Brock-8th graders!! WOW-They are huge now!!
Mommy and Ava-poor girlie...she was so hot!

Once more Ava with a smile.

Hunter's mom and family are usually in attendance to most functions we are at. Bailey comes to hang out with me and Ava wherever we are. She wants to feed her, hold her and play with her the whole time. She is so cute!

Ava's 10 Month Photo Shoot!

I finally took Ava in to have her 10 month pictures taken. Time just slips away from me. ;) She did so good, and made it VERY hard to pick just a few. She is just such a ham for the camera sometimes. The one thing you will notice...her tongue is sticking out in every single picture. I don't think she knows how to smile without it. Hehe. Girlie loves her tongue!! (Oh and her new favorite, yet nameless bunny made the trip too!)

Chuck E Cheeses

On Monday Ava and I made the 1 1/2 hour trip to Waco to visit some old and dear friends. We met up with Crystal and her 2 yr old son Cameron (they actually live in Waco), Brittany and her 2 yr old son Troy (Georgetown), Tanna (& Brylee in her belly), and Laura and her 4 1/2 mo. old son Caleb (both from Arlington). We had grand intentions of catching up and visiting- but with all of us having kids, we didn't get that much time to talk. We fed the kids, then scarfed down our own food, then chased around the little ones in different directions, trying to keep them happy with games before loading up and heading home. We didn't even get any pictures of us all together. :(
I was only able to catch a few of Ava in action. Her favorite ride was a giant horse that galloped and jumped in relation to a video game in front of her. It was obviously made for bigger kids, but she loved it!! It was whipping her around, but she was laughing and had the BIGGEST grin on her face!! I couldn't take a picture because I had to keep a death grip on her. ;) The girl is going to love the scariest rides when she gets older.

Here is Ava in her other favorite ride. She loved pretending to drive.

Cameron is teaching her to play skee ball....
"Do just like me Ava...raise the ball in your right hand and throw!"
Good job Ava! Look at all those tickets!

I hope we get to all meet up again soon! Maybe next time we will actually be able to visit!

A little light reading before dinner....

The other day Jamie called me in from the other room to see what Ava was doing. She had taken one of her favorite books underneath the kitchen table to "read". There she was laying flat on her stomach with her legs stretched out, lazily kicking her feet on the floor, "reading" her book. She looked SO big. Of course, as soon as I found the camera to take a picture she had alredy moved. Such a cutie!

Our Wedding Day on the beach

Yesterday Jamie and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary. Wow, what an amazing 4 years it has been. I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing man. Really, he is just an awesome human being! So kind, giving, humble, funny....I could go on and on. Every day I learn how to be a better person and Christian from his examples. I truly am blessed to have found him. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him, and all the new adventures that await us. I love you Jamie!!

Ava's First Build A Bunny

We took Hunter back to school shopping at the mall yesterday. I had to run a quick errand and left Ava with Jamie and Hunter. When I went looking for them, I found them in Build A Bear. Jamie had decided Ava needed a new baby to sleep with. So we picked out the softest and cutest one....a big floppy eared bunny.

Mommy, Ava, her new bunny & Bubbie (Please excuse my hair in a bun and rubber band brace face in all of the pictures. I was not planning on being photographed.)

Showing Ava what her new friend was going to be made of...
Ava picked out bunnies heart, and had her own way of kissing it...aka biting it. ;)
Putting the heart in....
Stepping on the pedal so that the nice lady could put the filling in....

Mommy making sure it feels "just right"...

Ava kissing her new baby....(what kind of face am I making???)...

Ava and her bunny ready to shop!!

Now all we have to do is name her. Any suggestions?? It has to be something fun!! (Jamie wants to name her Bun Bun....that is a big fat NO....anything will be better than that. Hahaha!)

Ava is 10 Months Old!

Wow! Another month has come and gone, and my little baby is now 10 months old. I sure wish time would just slow down so that I could savor these precious moments of Ava being small.
.
Ava is more out of control than ever! She likes to make her "new face" as mentioned in a previous post, as well as growling and screaming at the top of her lungs for no reason. She has a set of lungs on her, and everyone at church knows her for it. ;) She is still such a ham ~ loves to laugh, and LOVES to be the center of attention. I mean what girl doesn't??
.
She just got her third tooth on the bottom, but I can see 6 pearly whites just under the gums on the top. Oh how I pray they don't all come at once (but with my luck they will!). She can now take 7-8 steps on her own, and will walk anywhere with you while holding on to only one of your fingers. She will be walking in no time.
.
Oh, and she has started throwing fits when she doesn't get what she wants. Already??? If you take something away from her that she wants or if you deny her from going someplace she wants to go, she throws herself down on her bottom, screams and cries while batting her arms. UGH. I have got to put a stop to this pronto. I wonder where princess gets this from? :) She does like to give kisses, so I guess that helps even things out a little.
.
We will be taking 10 month pictures this week, so I will post them and the ones I didn't post from the last couple of months soon! Count down to her first birthday party has begun. Mark your calendars...I think we are having it here in Bastrop Saturday, October 18th.

Ava's First Chick-fil-A

As many of you know, my husband Jamie owns and operates a Chick-fil-A here in Austin. Now that Ava is old enough to start eating chicken, it was a VERY big deal to her Daddy to eat Chick-fil-A for the very first time. He paraded her around the store and showed her off to all of his employees, and then brought her behind the counter for her first official bite. He was SO happy, and of course Ava loved it!! [I did not give her the breading, just the inside meat of a chicken strip. ;) ]
Daddy giving her her first bite of CFA chicken.
Now it is Mommy's turn giving her some Chick. (I just looked closer at the picture and it seems I am sticking it in her nose! hahaha)
It just wouldn't be right not to have a full Chick-fil-A first experience, so she got a small lick of Mommy's Icedream cone. Yummmm!
She loved eating at Daddy's work for the first time, and can't wait to go back!!
EAT MOR CHIKIN!

Pretty Piggies

I broke down and painted Ava's toes for the first time the other day. They were TOO cute!! I painted them while she was in her carseat, and she was very good about letting me paint them and blow them dry. I can see pedicures together in our future!

My New Bed

Jamie came home the other day with a surprise for me in the back of his truck. A new bed that I had been wanting. I LOVE IT!! I love my husband!!!!!!

Feeding Frenzy

I let Ava feed herself for her entire meal. This was the result. Covered from head to toe with food. I tried to run my fingers through her hair to get out some of the food, and it ended up standing on end about 4 inches high. It is hard to see in the picture because her hair blends in with the wall.

I love picture! Hahaha!

Ralph

Every night while I am giving Ava her bath, I pour a cup of water over her head to wash out the soap. Her long bangs come down over her forehead like little sticks. For the longest time I thought she looked like a cartoon character I had seen, but could never quite think of it. Then it came to me...Ralph from the Simpsons. Same round head....same big eyes....same hair placement. HAHAHA!!
