I have decided to start a blog page to share the daily adventures of Miss Ava! She is learning and experiencing new things each and every day, and I would like to share them with all of my family and friends. What better time to start than her turning 6 MONTHS OLD!
It seems like just yesterday that she was born, and now she is crawling, pulling up on things, shaking her head no, and trying to cut her first tooth! WOW- how precious time flies!
At her recent doctors appointment she weighed in at 18.5 lbs. and 27 in. long. She is between the 75th and 90th percentile in everything. I think her weight has slowed a little since she has become more mobile! Oh what a joy that is! :) It is time to start baby proofing everything!! She has a new found fascination with outlets. YIKES!
She hates jarred baby food, and of course our pantry is stocked with several jars of it. So now we cook her fresh fruits and veggies. The doctor says she just may hate the texture of baby food and like the chunkyness of table food. Last night she had potatoes and microscopic pieces of bread, and she ate it all up! Problem solved!
Ava has definitely found her voice. She likes to talk to us and loves to scream just to hear herself scream. Oh what a joy! :) She is happy most of the time and LOVES to laugh and be tickled. You will most often see her with a big bow atop her head. It has become her trademark wherever we go! I am sure it is just a matter of time before she learns how to pull it off. (Fingers crossed she won't.)
